In a few weeks it will be a year since I booked my first vendor (time goes by so fast while wedding planning!). The first vendor I booked was our venue, we incidentally also decided for the first venue we toured. Now I feel like I’m lacking a bit. I haven’t really made any progress in wedding planning. How about you guys? And what was your first vendor you booked?

Our first vendor we booked was also our venue! We hadn't even chosen an exact date until seeing what they had available, so our venue was definitely the foundation of our planning

We also booked our venue first. From there, we got our photographer, bartender, baker and DJ. The last thing we actually booked was our caterer b/c we were thinking of using our venue for food but decided to go with an outside vendor b/c it was cheaper and we are getting the food we want for our reception.

We booked our photographer first. We are having a DW and wanted to get engagement pictures done the same week we were touring venues. Luckily everything worked out!

Booked our venue first and then did everything else!! I looked at so many reviews before I decided who I was hiring. I figured I’d get all of the deposits taken care of way ahead of time so I didn’t need to stress about finding vendors later on. It was a process but now I have 11 months to worry about other things😊

We booked our venue first, we didn't decide on a date until we knew what dates they had available. After that we started to book the other vendors that we needed.
