Finally sat down and did my first trail run of my wedding makeup. Our wedding colors are burgundy, mauve, grey and blush. Looking at the pictures, I definitely want to do more contour (I’m always scared of contour), and make the eyeshadow more of a mauve color. It came out more orangey that I expected. These are in direct sunlight. Any tips/thoughts would be appreciated! ☺️

I agree that it looks a bit orangey and that might clash with your burgundy and blush theme. Love the lip color though.

It does look orange and I think clashes a bit with the lip color. But I still think you look pretty as heck!

You did a great job, Rebekah!

Mauve will really make your green eyes pop, I think this tweak will make a big difference!

Contour is scary, I totally agree! Next time you sit down to do a trial, try not to shy away from it. The fact you’re doing it yourself means you can practice as much as you need to!

    Are you wearing a blush?

I LOVE the lip color and I really think this looks good overall (though I do agree about the orange clashing)!

One thing to remember is that with flash photography, you really do need some sort of contour as the flash tends to remove the natural shadows on the face. By contouring, you're making artificial shadows that balance the flash out.

It's nothing to be scared of, and you have plenty of time to practice!
