First look VS traditional

First Look and absolutely no regrets. I got some of our best pics from the First look .

We did destination, and took photos before and after. So yes we saw each other all day. Didn't stop his eyes from lighting up when I came out of my hotel room

We both agreed to do traditional.

No he doesn't want to do it and it doesn't bother me. I'll have more time to sleep in!!

Initially, he wanted to do it but I wasn't so sure. After speaking to a few photographers, we are definitely doing the first look; it's one of the things I am looking forward to the most.

FH wants traditional all the way and I tend to agree with him

I work weddings on the weekends and I have to say I prefer traditional every time. When they haven't seen each other the anticipation is so crazy high that it's so exciting even for me who barely knows the couple! Because of this FH and I have decided to not do a first look

First look. I think it'll be a good way to calm my nerves before hand.

Our venue said we had to do a first look....FH flipped and said we won't do the ceremony there then. FH is super against first looks

I think they make really cute pictures however I don't think its for us. The the walk down the aisle is actually what I am looking the most forward to on my wedding day. Though those that do first looks get a lot of pictures out of the way, and get a moment that is just "them" and not "them and everyone"

I also kinda sorta got turned off by first looks through a photographer we were in contact with. They had booked another couple the day after our date, at a venue 4 hours away, and were basically like "We can shoot your wedding if you do a first look" Which in my eyes translated to, "if you do a first look we can leave early" Not sure how that contract would have panned out because I never responded.

FH doesnt want to do a first look....but we are doing a first touch....

I considered doing a first look, then I asked FH and that was a solid no. He said he wanted his reaction to be as pure as possible the moment I walk down to become his wife. His words and not mine and Im 100% okay with that. In the wedding planning I am doing much of it so any imput of his I try to respect.

Not to mention we are having a small wedding list and no bridal party so I honestly don't think photos will take more than 45 minutes.

My photographer and FH and I are all on board with the first look. I really want to do this. We are having a sunset Beach wedding and wanted to get good pictures. I want to be able to see him before the craziness of the wedding and reception. My photographer is super excited about this. We will also have limited time with light for more pictures after the wedding.

I had to look up first touch because I had no idea what that was. I thought someone was being dirty lol... All caught up on the lingo now...we are not doing either. Traditional.

Traditional for us. I didn't care if we had a first look or not but FH really doesnt want one.

We are doing a first look!

We chose to do one for a few reasons - we get a special moment together while capturing it in pictures, we wanted to do our WP pictures prior to the ceremony so we didn't have to spend too much time after the ceremony, and we will get the opportunity to enjoy and mingle with our guests at the cocktail hour. We plan to do family pictures after the ceremony but I'm expecting that to take no more than 30 minutes, so 30 more minutes to spend with our guests!

We are still debating. With a first look, we get a sweet, intimate moment together that is pure and without pressure. However, with the traditional, FH gets the overwhelming wow factor of seeing you walk towards him.... So kind of a toss up, honestly.
