Just got back from my first fitting at David's Bridal, and it could not have gone better! I was worried about the cost after reading some of the horror stories here, but everything I need was very affordable. I had noticed late that the consultant had ordered a dress smaller than she was supposed to, so I was a bit afraid, but it fit almost perfect. I guess all the walking and watching what i'm eating is paying off!
I did almost fall off the podium in my heels though LOL....I think i've mentioned i'm not what you'd call "graceful" even though I got a chunkier heel for stability I almost fell face first! I didn't...I ended up taking them off and having her place the hem pins as though I was wearing flats since I plan to wear them at the reception. If my heels show a bit it's ok because my shoes are CUTE.
I was a bit bummed though that I had to go to the appointment alone. I shouldn't be shocked though since i've done most everything wedding related alone. I don't drive and nearly had to walk home 7 miles. My nephew stepped up though and gave me a ride. He sat in the parking lot though. I"m trying to not dwell on being alone though. I loved how the dress looked. Just a bit tight, but it's got a corset back so it's all good!
