First Dance

Has anyone used a more upbeat song for their first dance? Did you learn a dance by practicing, or did you go to a choreographer? A song that fits our relationship to a tee is slightly upbeat, enough that you can't do the typical slow dance with it. I'm trying to get feedback from those with a similar experience and look at options before settling on another song. Thanks!

    I'm doing slow song but our best man definitely took dancing lessons and was more choreographed for his. I think an upbeat song with choreography sounds fun to watch

    You could always try to lookup your song on YouTube followed by first dance and see if anyone has done the same song. That's what I did for mine lol.

    This is what I tried first and unfortunately it didn't help. I only found two videos: one where they used a typical slow dance, which proved you can't do that with said song, and one was an actual choreography studio with very fast paced moves. I'm starting to think I'll have to come up with our own dance that's the medium, or hire a choreographer.

    We danced "Muchachita Linda" a bachata by Juan Luis Guerra. My husband and I took bachata lessons 3 years ago and we decided to go for it. It was great and people loved it.

    Hi there! What is the song you're thinking of doing your first dance to? You could choreography something yourselves perhaps by searching videos online. Would this work?
