First Dance: Yea or Nay?

For sure we're having a first dance. I love the idea of having a special song that's 'your song' and having all eyes on you when you're the only one on the dance floor...I crave attention. It's a special moment to share with each other

We did! We just basically spun around in a circle in the stereotypical high school slow dance style 😂 But we got told there weren't a lot of dry eyes because he and I were singing to each other and all smiles 😊

Maybe not? We're just doing dinner for everyone to keep costs down, and our venue doesn't have a dance floor or even really room to dance. So since we're not doing the big party reception, we're thinking we'll skip it since the first dance is supposed to signal that the floor is open for dancing. Not sure though, since FH and my mom are campaigning for a first dance but I feel weird having one when we're not really having everyone else dance, too. Not sure if all that made sense lol

Thanks! We want something for our song that is both uplifting and romantic and are hoping to incorporate a little swing too!

This is one tradition that we are keeping. We have a "relationship song" so that part is simple. Probably will cry lol. We're not doing any of the other dances, though.
