Hi guys, was scrolling through ww as usual and noticed no one has really talked about first dance songs. What songs are you guys thinking of having ? I feel like I'm putting such a huge emphasis on needing a song that no one else has had. I am just so confused and want that song that I'll hear on...

Hi guys, was scrolling through ww as usual and noticed no one has really talked about first dance songs. What songs are you guys thinking of having ? I feel like I'm putting such a huge emphasis on needing a song that no one else has had. I am just so confused and want that song that I'll hear on the radio 20 years from now with my husband and reminisce about our wedding...

Enough blabbering from me let's see some song choices...

Ours will be "A Beautiful Mess" by Jason Mraz in acoustic. It's perfect and we love this song, every time we hear it we want to cry!

I'm still collecting music, so I'm not really sure! We were originally planning on "Go Places" by the New Pornographers, but IDK if we can do a waltz justice in our tiny yard. A tango or rumba might be called for, in which case I like "Alone Together" from the Steven Universe soundtrack, "Water Wall" from the Transistor soundtrack, "Blank Space" (ugh I have so many feelings about all the lampshades this song hangs on rumba as a genre), or possibly "Everybody Loves Me".

Glad to see someone else picked Savage Garden!! I was seriously considering one of theirs!!

I've been really concerned about what to pick- darling lover and I are don't really share romantic music in common- we like metal type stuff- and our common thread as been many a car ride with breaking benjamin in it. So yeah. I'm still trying to figure out if we can make a first dance happen LOL

We decided on "Remarkable" by Jahiem (picked by FH). Then he came up with the great idea of us doing a surprise routine using 80s & 90s r&b and hip hop songs. We're still trying to put together songs for that.

I think I am having the song "When I Fall in Love" by Nat King Kole. It's a stunning classic song.

It's awesome that you are incorporating an Albanian song into your wedding! I am Albanian marrying an American and I am trying to incorporate some Albanian elements into my wedding as well. May I ask what traditions you are incorporating? I was definitely going to have an Albanian song for my daddy/daughter dance. I also want to have Raki, olives, feta cheese, some burek on the table as "meze." I will have baklava and tulumba in addition to Italian desserts (this is all in addition to my entrees etc).

May I ask if you are incoprorating any traditional Albanian elements into the ceremony? I don't know that much about Albanian wedding traditions because I was born here.
