First Dance Song...looking for R&B fairly new

Dave Hollister- Forever (I love this one too!!!!!! not new but still a great song that many people dont remember)

Boys II Men- For The Rest of My Life. ( this is a beautiful song. I love Boys II Men! Im a huge fan!) this is on their new album Twenty. I heard these songs on youtube before it was released here in the states. It's really nice. Check out this song.

Honestly, all the great songs in R&B love ballets that you can play for weddings are the older ones. They dont make music like they used to for sure. When I can think of some more I will add it to your post. I hope this helps. ;-)

You were meant for me (Lalah Hathaway version) is on my short list along with Kem's If It's Love. They are both fairly recent and lyrically appropriate for a first dance. We are Chicago Stepping/Walking for our first dance so mid tempo is okay. Hope you find your perfect song....soon! :0)

Tamashika I'm going to look up some of those I can't think of any of them off the top of my head and Lorena that's what we wanted to do we're always at someone else's wedding stepping...I would actually like something with a little beat opposed to the super slow songs that put the guest to sleep lol although something slow would allow us to enjoy the moment since he belongs to a fraternity and I probably won't get to dance with him for the rest of the night
