First Dance Nerves

So FH is really nervous about our first dance. He is not really a great dancer (neither am I) and so now I am getting nervous too. I don't want 200 people staring at us looking like we are a couple at our middle school dance, arms on shoulders side stepping for 4 minutes. My mom suggested maybe taking a few lessons so we will be more comfortable but I don't know. That kinda seems a little silly to take dance lessons for one dance. Or is this something people actually do? Maybe FH and I are just over thinking. Anyone else having these nerves?

We're not taking classes, and are just going to sway and spin a bit haha. We'll have the DJ play one verse and chorus of our song, and then we're done!

Even if you don't take lessons but want to add some elements to the sance, like a couple spins, I would practice a couple times. That way y'all can at least know when spins will happen. That's what I'm most worried about with our first dance.

We definitely can't afford lessons, so this is what we have decided:
1. Keep the song short.
2. Practice a little at home, perhaps record ourselves. I know both of us will be nervous in front of a crowd, but if we practice at home we will at least be more comfortable with each other.
