As of today, we are 88 days away from the big day! FH and I are super stoked for the day, as well as the week-long vacation. We are definitely keeping some traditions and tossing others. One of the things we are doing is the first dance. I was wondering if anyone is/was in the same position as I am with the first dance. FH is in South Georgia and I'm in North Mississippi (on a good day or timed perfectly takes 8 hrs to drive). How did anyone plan/practice the first dance? We are seeing each other about once a month until the wedding week. Should we try to sign up for a dance lesson(s) when we see each other? Try to wing it? I could probably remember some of the basic ballroom steps I learned in middle school PE if needed. But I was just curious what others did to prepare for the first dance.

Any First Dance advice would be great.

Thank you so much!

Ahhhh, I would say swing it, my FH is super shy and very stiff LOL he's not a dancer and definitely hates being center of attention.... I on the other hand love to dance and super happy that day is all about US so let the attention comeeeee. I think we will just practice a bit at home

We aren't having a choreographed dance, but FH and I are using first dance as an excuse to take some dancing lessons for fun and just learn some basic steps/movements. Definitely isn't necessary by any means though, it's more of a fun thing to do together for us Smiley smile
