First Bridal fitting consultation = success!

I had my first bridal fitting consultation today for my Hayley Paige “Nelson” dress and I’m happy to say that it was a total success! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but the seamstress I went to was recommended by my bridal salon and I can tell that she’s going to make my dress look even better than it already does! Here’s what we are planning to do:
- slightly loosen the bottom part of the bodice below my waist (it’s a little too tight around my hips, which causes it to wrinkle more than I’d like even if I do try to pull it down from the front)
- add a French bustle (my seamstress wants to keep the drama of the top layer of the skirt and pin up the tulle layer underneath!)- slightly adjust the top part of the bodice to be a little tighter/more form fitting which we’ll decide on at my next appointment in February.
Overall, I’m really happy that my alterations will be minimal since my dress fits pretty close to my shape/body type already! I’m also extremely happy that I got to take a look at my completed look including my matching veil which I haven’t been able to see with my dress since I bought it! I can’t wait to see how the first step looks when I go back in February… yay! I’m one happy Bride and I can’t believe we are soooo close to 2022! Time flies!
