Fireworks!

Futuremrs, on June 26, 2019 at 6:54 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 15
Hi WW Fam! I really want to surprise my guests with a 2-5 minutes fireworks display at midnight. I think it’ll be a great way to bring in the New Year and an unexpected surprise. I’ve been trying to research pyrotechnic companies in GA (where my wedding will be). Has anyone ever had fireworks? Was it pricey? I’ve seen it’ll cost between $2-5k. Does anyone have any companies they can recommend? Thanks in advance 😊

Before you commit to a company I would first triple check that your venue allows fireworks to be set off. A lot of venues dont (how many dont even allow candles, let alone fireworks), especially ones that are in a city or closer to suburban areas. A lot of towns and counties have designated fireworks spots. If your venue will allow them, you may also have to pay more of a premium, being on new years eve. A lot of companies may be booked already depending on your area.

Wow, this sounds amazing, especially for a New Years Eve wedding!

Have you spoken with your venue coordinator in GA about the idea? He/she may have suggestions for companies who would do this!

I don't have any GA recommendations, but we are surprising guests with fireworks too!! I think it is what I am most excited about Smiley xd We are in VA and paying $2500 for a 5-7 minute display. Make sure the contract includes insurance for the venue! I hope it works out for you - the pictures with the bride/groom and fireworks are so romantic!

Sounds fun Ashley! I don’t trust myself or any of my family members to set off a single firework. Not even a sparkler LOL 😊

Thanks FutureMrsK! Luckily my venue allows fireworks, but it has to be done professionally. Thankfully they also allow candles too because I will have tons of them 😉

Thanks Cliodhna! I thought the guests would live it too! Shockingly no one has ever had or requested to have fireworks at my venue 🤷🏽‍♀️ so they have no recommendations for me, but they’re asking some of their vendors to see if they have any connects. Fingers crossed!

Search East Coast Pyrotechnics, they have done some Atlanta Braves games I think so they probably can do other Georgia locations

Oh I hope they can get some recommendations for you 🤞

With the 4th of July this week, will you be attending any firework displays? Or are there any happening in your area? You could try speaking to some security guards or folks working at the event and asking what company are doing them! You may see some signage also! Just a thought Smiley smile

Great idea! I don’t actually live in GA, our wedding is just taking place there. But I do have a BFF who lives in GA and I’m going to pass along your suggestion to her so she can ask around on my behalf! Thanks again for the idea 😊
