Fingers or Forks?

I want to use spoons because I don't trust my ability to keep the cake on the fork. We definitely won't be using fingers, though.

FH has bad fork aim when letting me try his food, he tends to miss. We'll prob do fingers so I won't get stabbed.

Good question, hadn't thought about it. Might be easier with fingers and there will be no cake smooshing at our wedding either.

Fingers. That cake would fall right off a fork.

Forks. You don't eat regular cake with your hands after the age of 3.

FH...has me terrified he will smoosh! I am thinking we will use fingers just for ease but I don't know...using a fork might eliminate the smoosh factor

IF we do this, which I'm seriously considering not doing, it's going to be with a fork.

I think using fingers are sweet as long as you're not messy about it.

I have asked the FH to consider us "looking as if we will" and then turning around to our BM and MOH and smoosh it in THEIR face. That will be his Dad and my sister.

Forks! We had discussed the "smooshing" before hand. I only had that one bite of cake, it was pretty good. I had 12 dozen donuts, so the cake was just for looks and the picture opportunity, really.

We will be using our fingers. More intimate that way. Besides being from my background, I prefer to eat with my hands anyway.

Was planning to use fingers -- less chance of dropping it/falling off the fork -- but one of my bm's got us cute forks with Mr. and Mrs. on them. I want to use them, so forks it is.

Definitely fingers. i hadn't even thought about using forks... i hope he doesn't smoosh cake in my face cause i really don't want to get cake everywhere... but i will probably try to at least get some icing on his nose so he will try to get me back for that... or maybe we will both try to get our daughter. lol

but i am making my own cake and my icing is delicious so i don't mind licking it off my fingers!!

Maybe he'll spit it in my mouth like a baby bird...(YUCk)...

Do we brides leave ANYTHING to "chance"? I guess not...

In that case, we'll probably use fingers just because the logistics of getting a fork and holding the bottom and not having cake fall down the front of my dress seem a little hanky...Fingers are more reliable when you are already nervous (or drunk which I plan to be...Party time!) I would imagine...
