Hi. Im trying to find a reasonable DJ. I dont want to spent more than $850. Our ceremony and reception are in the same building. The ceremony will be 30min tops and then cocktail hour, dinner then 3-4 hours of dancing. Is this too much to ask for. Please help. Not wanting to go broke over this. Please help. Thanks.

A lot depends on where you live, major cities will cost more. Where I live DJs start at about $2k 😓

I live in the kinda country. So I'm getting quotes of like $1000. I just woukd like it alittle lower.

You can try reaching out to DJs you like and see if they can do anything within your price range. Sometimes they are willing to come down or maybe provide a downgraded package or something.

I went on Craigslist and thumbtack to find a DJ and usually they're reasonably priced but $850 doesn't seem too bad either. But there are definitely cheaper ones

My DJ was $900. I found him at a bridal show. The original price was $1200, but the show came with a steep discount. So you can always scout those out as well.
