It’s not tacky to do diy centerpieces with faux florals. Now a days fake flowers look super real!


If you’re looking for inexpensive photography I would 1) try to cut down the amount of hours needed 2) look on Craigslist or some other site for free photographers who just want to expand their portfolio or heavily discounted photographers 3) try thumbtack app to find vendors

All of our florals & greenery are fake and I’m super happy about it. We spent way less $$ than what we would have for real flowers and can put that extra money towards other things that are more important within our budget

That makes me feel way more comfortable using faux, i have alot of opinionated people in my life saying I shouldn’t be doing faux, but those people also haven’t offered to help pay a florist lol i also think its smarter because real arrangements are so expensive and they die anyway lol

Also check out Facebook marketplace for any flowers/decor you need. You can get really discounted prices on lightly used decor

I'm personally not a fan of fake flowers, but since you have plenty of time you could always do dried flowers! I'm not sure how DIY you're looking to get, but it's super easy to dry flowers by hanging them upside down. You can wait to find sales/good deals, dry them out and make arrangements from those. I think it adds a cool look as well.
