Finally...bridesmaid Dress drama's

I finally have all the Bridesmaid dresses on order. I have 7 BM's and they have known about our dress selection and the lengthy order time (4 months) since early December. I know they say they "usually come in sooner" but my BM that ordered her dress the week we chose them (1st week of December) was told 3/5/2020 and so far it's holding accurate as she still has not received her dress. The rest of my BM's ordered in January and early February but I still had two holding out for as long as possible. Yesterday I told them I would buy the dresses for them and they can pay me back when they can, but I went into David's and ordered the two dresses they wanted in their sizes. I couldn't wait any longer and I'm SO GLAD I went in and did this. The dresses I ordered yesterday will not be here until 6/10/20 and our wedding is 6/27/20 out of state. Is anyone else having dilemma's getting their BM's to take it seriously and order in a responsible amount of time?

Hi Amanda,
I was so worried about that happening, so I decided to buy them as gifts for my girls, I'm changing into the same dress, I'm going to wear lavender and the bridesmaids will be in lilac!

Hey Amanda! I had the same issue! My wedding is April 26th 2020. I went dress shopping with my girls (8 bridesmaids) at the end of June 2019. I let them know at that time they should have their dresses ordered by the end of the year. I also gave them a reminder in October and another in December 2019. By time the end of the year rolled around only one bridesmaid paid for her dress. Unfortunately the shop we went to stated they would not place the order until all of the bridesmaids paid for their dresses. I also let the ladies know this as well. Well 3 more of them purchased their dresses in January. The rest didn’t purchase until last week (I started harassing at this point as we have 2 months left 😩) luckily their dresses will arrive early April! But I felt super stressed, they didn’t seem to care about deadlines and what have you! The most frustrating part of wedding planning thus far!

I finally got all mine to order as well! 2 people ordered December 19 and David's said late April, one dress came in February 1st and the other one didn't yet. Don't stress I'm sure they'll be in on time , but I would recommend they reach out to a seamstress ahead of time and say they're going to need a quick turn around!
