fh Changes the Wedding Colors After Plans Have Been Made!!

Jazmine, on June 4, 2019 at 5:33 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
Ladies... HELP ME FROM PANICKING!

On the ride home today, FH and I start to discuss the color palette of the wedding so we can plan decor. Originally, it was Navy, Peach and accents of Sage. Well, come to find out FH "doesn't really like navy"! WHAT! We decided on the palette months ago! I was already make plans (website, invitations and STD's that go out NEXT MONTH) with that color scheme. So back to the drawing board so I can change EVERYTHING and fall in love with it weeks before I have to actually send things out.

Ya'll please PRAY I don't hurt this man. He is so nonchalant about this, meanwhile I am over here STRESSING OUT!

Okay.. Rant over! Back to Pinterest.

Maybe use navy as the accent color instead so that there's only minimal amounts of it

This isn't really that big of a deal. Your save the dates don't need to match your wedding colors. Use the ones you have, it'll be fine.

I know it's not that big of a deal. Just a frustrating moment, especially since I have a Type A personality. I would prefer everything match.

Yes. And if he still wants another color as a main color to replace the navy, you can do that too. I also get your frustration. He should have informed you of his dislike of the colors when you had first talked about it.

What color scheme would he like? Would he be happy with the original one if it was just touches of navy? Remember, you can't kill him, you love him. Though Lord knows they can blur the lines sometimes lol

He loves the peach, he likes sage (so greenery) and I think I’m just going to do hints of navy here and there.

I love him. I’m not going to kill him. I love him. (Oh repeat in my head)

Did you already order invitations and STD’s? If not, you’re fine and still have time. And even if you did, you’re still be fine. You can go the easy route and just eliminate Navy as one of your wedding day colors and just have peach and sage with White. Or you can substitute navy with another color like gray. Take some notes from your FH and don’t stress!

Seeing the word sage used as a color reminds me that it is a scent. I immediately went and found this:

    FRESH-CUT BASIL POURED CANDLE

"The greenness of fresh basil, tomato leaf, and delicate sage is touched with sweet notes of black currant, blood orange, and petitgrain."

    CLARY SAGE TEA HAND LOTION

"Assam black tea. Fresh clary sage. Optimistic lavender. Warm rosemary sprigs. Creamy amber. Soft sandalwood."

Thyme lotions are awesome. (I am not a representative. I just love their products. I have two of their lotions.) These would make great gifts for your guests!
