So my future in laws are throwing us a couple's shower this weekend...this was totally unexpected and we feel blessed that they even offered to do so. They asked me to send a list of just my closest friends to invite (not every friend on our wedding guest list), so I wanted my 3 childhood friends and their hubbies and kids, my 2 college best friends and then I decided to invite 1 girl that I previously worked with. I also have no extended family in town, so we just invited my parents and siblings.
The 2 college besties live a few hours away and likely can't come, 2 of my childhood friends have other plans and the third doesn't want to bring her kids without her husband. Thank God the old coworker is going to come, but it looks like she is the only one. My own family won't likely come, except for my mom, because of a sports tournament. We don't know if any of my fiance's friends are coming because no one has RSVP'd. I feel so embarrassed I could cry!
