Feel like I'm forgetting something...

Kimberly, on January 3, 2012 at 2:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

So we are in the last 11 days before the wedding and I am sitting here while my FH takes his big graduation exams (we are studying to be priests 4 days of testing kind of like the medical or law boards)... he is in the living room while I am in the bedroom working on wedding stuff... I swear I am forgetting something... I have been using the knot's check list... and I am waiting for the following things : my ring to come in, the license can get picked up tomorrow, but I won't be able to get to the court house until Friday afternoon, I have my run through of my hair on Friday- cut, color, style... I pick up my dress next tuesday. all the payments have been maid to the vendors- DJ paid, Photog paid, Venue all but 600$ paid and that will be paid on Thursday when we have our last meeting, Rehearsal dinner menu picked, all of the bridal party and participants in the wedding know when they have to be there and what to wear... what am I missing???

Officiant? His Ring? Flowers? Shoes & accessories for your dress? Cake?

Your bridal emergency kit- extra bobbie pins, safety pins, make up for touch ups, bandaids, etc.

Assemble all your accessories- jewelry, shoes, special undergarments including slip and spanx, etc that you will wear the day of.

Confirm headcounts to caterers. It's close enough to confirm most of your vendors and their arrival time.

I'd put together a notebook with pertinent details- all vendors and contact information, especially their cell phone numbers! and approximate arrival time. Make a mock up of the reception area- with tables, centerpieces, etc. You'll be otherwise occupied, so who will be overseeing the set-up? The person at your venue won't do that for you.

What about your seating chart? Is that done?

The last few days are full of minute details.

@Jennifer- his ring done, engraved and in the strong box at my parents house, officiant and bulletin ready to go for rehearsal on Friday, shoes and accessories already in my bridal bag cake paid for last week, flowers paid for, and father arranged to pick them up while the girls get pretty on the day of...

@Meghan- confirmed head count with caterer, table arrangement sent to the hotel, at our meeting on Thursday will be going over centerpieces, they actually are setting them up for us. - hadn't thought of the emergency kit- going to get the maid of honor to work on that since she is good like that Smiley smile

Then go down lists #1-5 and do a mental check of everything you've accomplished.
