Yes you feed them. Ask your venue because usually vendor meals are discounted. We are having a plated meal but our vendors will eat family style in another room.

Definitely need to be fed. Hungry vendors make for a distracted job haha. Some catering company's include up to 5 free vendor meals.

I was wondering about this too. I’m planning on having a plate for my officiant, but not sure about photographer. He said he would be walking around taking pictures of tables and guests during dinner then will leave immediately after cake cutting. So it doesn’t sound like he’ll be eating?

It depends on the vendors. Some have said they will take care of their food themselves. My photographer said he might not actually eat which is a little worrisome. I’d just ask your vendors or look at your contact later because it should mention it in there.

I plan to feed our vendors. At least to offer for them to eat is a nice gesture! I have wondered about where they can eat their dinners though as I feel like it would be rude to ask them to eat in the kitchen area? Or maybe I am over thinking it?

My photographer will be with me for 8 hrs. I am feeding her twice. Once with the wedding party for brunch while getting ready and again at the reception, this was an automatic for me. Dj will be feed at reception as well.

Yes, definitely plan on feeding them. Photographers potentially twice (if they’re with you during hair and makeup and you feed the wedding party while they’re there) depending on how long they are going to be with you.

Check with the venue where vendors typically eat. I’ve seen it done both ways with vendors at tables and vendors having a different area to eat. The DJ will probably just eat at his DJ table

Most vendors have something in their contracts about meals, and if you need to provide a private place for them to eat. Also, check with your venue about vendor meals. They’re usually much cheaper than guest meals.

We are feeding our vendors. In our contract it specifically states that if we do not feed her she has the right to leave for an hour on our time to travel to get dinner. We are feeding her, our DJ and our shuttle driver, since he will be outside the venue "on call" for the duration. They will be included in our head count, but not on our seating chart. Our venue has a place for vendors to relax and have their meals. You will want to check with your venue on that though because every place is different.
