Hey all! I hope everyone is staying safe. Smiley smile

I was wondering what the guidelines are for your venue during covid? Has your venue spoken to you about that? Has your POC for your venue been laid off?
I am hoping COVID decreases by then but I’m sure there will still be some restrictions. The coordinator for my wedding venue was laid off because of COVID 😭 so now I’m just waiting for someone to take over and I am a bit nervous that we’re gonna fall through the cracks.

Have faith, it will all work out and trust your venue, listen to the news regularly to see what's going on in your area. I had to wait 4 months before our venue reopened just to sign our contract. Trust and believe.

My wedding isn't until March 2021 but our coordinator was also laid off because of Covid. LUCKILY, her boss stepped in and has been my point of contact ever since and of great help.

I think that there will still be some restrictions, but I don't think they will be as bad as they are now.

I've spoken to the director of our venue and she has been amazing and keeping me in the loop. She also offered us a full refund and said that we have until February to let her know what we want to do with the wedding.

She let me know the current restrictions that they are following but obviously no one knows what will happen within the next few months so we agreed to talk closer to the date.

We are March 2021 and honestly our venue hasn't communicated much with us. I think it's just changing too constantly for them to make any calls right now for next year. Thankfully our coordinator is still there (I believe she's one of the owners so she won't be going anywhere hopefully) but they have not offered up information on their own. Based on photos they've posted recently, they have staff wearing masks and it's up to the bride & groom what other requirements they want to have. I'm also hoping that we won't have to worry too much by then because we would rather postpone than have a whole bunch of restrictions, but if needed we will start asking those questions in a few months.

As far as I know our POC is still at our venue. The only current restrictions our POC has mentioned is that they are only allowed 50% capacity. Other than that, she hasn't mentioned anything else. Thankfully, the capacity doesn't affect us. Hopefully more restricting placements for other areas drop by that time. I just really hope that we won't have to end up cancelling or postponing.
