Favors

Mandee, on December 20, 2019 at 12:08 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13

There are a lot of opinions on favors and if you should even bother with them or not, but I am a Southern Bride and it would be talked about FOR LITERAL YEARS if I did not provide favors!

That being said, we're getting married at a peach farm and I am torn between sticking with my Southern Peaches theme and offering Peaches and Creme (Soda) jelly beans in decorative bags/jars with a cutesy saying tag, vs. local honey in jars with dippers and bee charms.

The jelly beans fit my theme and most everyone loves jelly beans, but I'm worried they're going to come across as juvenile. I love honey and bees which is something that everyone knows about me, so I thought it was fitting. My FH doesn't care too much about it one way or the other, so I'm wondering what y'all think?

Thanks!

I think the jelly beans are a better idea. The honey would be nice, but it only represents you. The jelly beans go with the theme of your wedding, which represents both of you.

I love the jellybean idea - maybe you can incorporate bees with the packaging?

I’m getting married in the South and skipping favors lol.
I’ve been to many weddings without favors.
I like your idea though Smiley smile

I think the jelly bean idea is perfect! You could put a really cute tag on them like "Thanks for bean here", "Love is sweet", or "Its bean the best day" Smiley smile

As someone who made a ton of jam for our wedding favors - what about peach preserves? Sticks to the theme but I don't think anyone would see it as juvenile.

I think jelly beans are fine too though!

I would go with the honey. It’s something a little different that everyone would use. I don’t like peach, and you have people who don’t like jelly beans, so while I don’t think it’s juvenile it may not be the best bang for your buck.

Definitely the jelly beans!! I think as long as they are packaged nicely, it won’t be too juvenile! Best of luck. 😊

We're doing M&Ms most likely...I'm getting married on Feb 1st and I'm hoping the Valentine's candy is out by that time!
