Favors...yes or no?

Future hubby and I think we found our dream venue yesterday! Only problem is it’s slightly over our budget for a venue...we know we’ll have to cut something out. My first thought was favors. I know all the weddings I’ve been to, I end up throwing the favors out. My question is...are favors...
Future hubby and I think we found our dream venue yesterday! Only problem is it’s slightly over our budget for a venue...we know we’ll have to cut something out. My first thought was favors. I know all the weddings I’ve been to, I end up throwing the favors out.


My question is...are favors necessary? Will I look like I don’t appreciate my guests if I don’t give them a token of thanks the day of?

    I don't think you need favors at all! I would just make sure to send out Thank you cards after the wedding. Smiley smile

    My party planner says favors are left behind most times and a waste of me. She has told us to take the extra money and put it towards the wedding

    Not necessary at all. You are the ones paying for food and drink all night for your guest to have a good time celebrating your union. Most of the time guests remember the party and the food

    No favors! Guest do not appreciated it. Instead splurge on extra flowers or jewelry

    Skip the favors! If you feel some heartbreak about it, you could add something favor-like to hotel welcome bags.

    I was going to do favors, but got budget reasons we decided not to.


    I will be placing personalized agate stones at each plate with their names (as part of the seating/escort arrangement) so they can keep those! Smiley tongue
