Favors - Tacky or no?

I saw something on Etsy that I thought was cute but I’m not sure if it’s tacky. It’s a decorated envelope with the words “For richer or poorer” on the outside, and inside we would put in anywhere from 1-3 $1 lottery scratch off tickets. Is that too tacky because guests then know exactly how much...

Honestly this seems so fun to me. I don't think this is tacky at all! I might actually steal this idea haha.

That's exactly what we are doing for favors. I'm not seeing how it is tacky. We stole the idea from a wedding we attended which was very expensive. Better than wasting money on favors no one wants. Everyone was excited about the lotto tickets 😂. None left.

I like it and would be happy as a guest. My only issue with it is if you have a lot of out of state guests it might be inconvenient for them to cash in their winnings. For example, if they only won 3 dollars they might not go and get it.

This is what we are doing! I loved the idea. I wanted to get my guests something they enjoyed instead of something they would never use. We are also going to include some of the chocolate gold coins in ours!

I am thinking of doing this too because I loved this idea. It isn't tacky to me and favors most times cost less $1.

I actually did something similar to that for my first wedding (almost 15 years ago now). At the time, we used the envelopes they were in for the table assignments. One thing I didn’t expect from it was a lot of people put their winning cards in our card box, which was really sweet of them. I still like the idea, especially since I think favors are usually a waste of money.
