We have finally found our venue and had thought of doing the wedding June 17, 2017. After talking to family I realize this is Father's Day weekend. I'm wondering if this will prevent people from coming to the wedding? We could still change the date but I'm worried if we do it too early in June we...

We have finally found our venue and had thought of doing the wedding June 17, 2017. After talking to family I realize this is Father's Day weekend. I'm wondering if this will prevent people from coming to the wedding? We could still change the date but I'm worried if we do it too early in June we won't have as nice of weather.

    Mrs T I feel like I'm stalking you this afternoon haha. I love that idea! I'm torn between two songs right now, so maybe Dad and I will do the father/daughter dance to one and later the DJ could play the other one and invite fathers out to the floor.

    We usually would just go out to dinner on Mother's or Father's Day, and give them nice notes and a gift. I feel like these holidays would be easy for guests to attend a wedding and still get to spend some special family time with each other on the same weekend. Thanksgiving is a holiday that most people block off the entire weekend for family stuff. People never block off an entire weekend for Father's Day.

    We almost did Mother's Day weekend this year. I asked my mom and FMIL - they didn't care so I didn't care if anyone else did.

    I actually wanted to do mine over Father's Day weekend, but my venue was going to charge us $2000 more because it was a holiday weekend. I thought it would be cool. You could even do something to honor all of the dads there.
