The one of been thinking about is When you Need Me by Bruce Springsteen

I feel the same as Laura does for her dad (my step dad tho, which is my dad)...we've never had a mushy relationship. But my dad (step dad) has always been there for me since I was 4 (even though I wish he wasn't at times)...the song I have for him is "Daddy Dance with Me" by Krystal Keith.

Its not a old school song or anything...seems more country but my mom likes it and thinks it's the right song.

Maybe ask your dad what he was thinking and you could make a conversation out of it. That way you both are comfortable and it won't be awkward for either of you

Laura- yeah I like isn't she lovely too! I'm thinking its upbeat.. I wouldn't mind doing upbeat if my dad was more outgoing but he's kinda shy and honestly I've never seen him dance... Ever .

I'm going with "Whiter Shade of Pale". I had this issue too. I love my dad with all my heart, but he's not terribly mushy, but we're like BFF's for sure. I had a hard time struggling to find something that didn't sound creepy to dance with dad to.

I'm having the same problem. Especially since my dad will be flying in from another country. I don't even have the first idea about what kind of song to choose for someone with his personality
