Father of the bride and father of the groom attire

At mens wearhouse they gave us the option of the fathers renting the same tuxedos as the groomsmen

My FH and his groomsmen are wearing nice jeans, nice boots, same white dress shirt, gray vest, royal blue tie with different boutonnieres FH is red gerbera daisy and g-men red rosebuds. Father of groom and my escorts (Dad passed away earlier this year so it's my uncle and dearest male friend) are wearing gray dress shirts and royal blue ties w/nice jeans boots and red rosebud boutonnieres. Ushers wearing same as Dads but no boutonnieres.

My FH groomsmen will be in a grey tux. My dad spoke to us about this and I said whatever he wants. He recently just lost a ton of weight so his suit he owns doesn't fit. My mom hasn't decided on her look yet but she is leaning towards a lilac color since our colors are royal purple and grey.

My father is wearing the same color tux as the groomsmen but is wearing an ivory long tie to match me.

Both of our dads needed help guiding their outfits. We just told them we wound prefer them in gray. My dad ended up in charcoal, FIL ended up in light gray.

Fathers and mothers pick anything of the right formality, which is formality of groom or one step down. So if all guests are not in black tie or white tie, if groom wears a tux, Dad may wear a tux or very dressy suit jeans or khaki's not an option. But colors or materials, stand out or blend in, Father or mother's choice. Also, many Dads choose not to wear ties or pocket squares or vests, anything, in BM dress or wedding colors. Most Dads consider themselves escort to their wife or SO most of the night, and accesorize their suit or tux that way. Dads and moms are not attendants, they are family and guests. And brides and grooms do not decide what family or guests wear.

My dad will be wearing either the same navy blue suit as the groomsmen or a grey suit, but will wear a full length tie and the groomsmen will be wearing bow ties. I told him he could decided on either, so he bought both 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m not too picky about it. I’m not sure what my fiancé’s dad will be wearing yet.

Our BM is a little different than the other groomsmen and the fathers are all wearing their own suits except my FH stepdad. He doesn't own one so we rented him a nice suit to wear.

I believe his father and my step dad are wearing black since that’s what they already own. The groomsmen will be renting light gray attire. The groomsmen and bridesmaids are the only ones wearing specific things. Everyone else is wearing whatever they want.
