Or since you specifically mentioned Willie Nelson, how about his cover of Heart of Gold? My dad and I are using the Neil Young version.

Finding a father daughter song is soooo hard. It was harder for me than finding our first dance song!

We are also using Daddy's Angel by T Carter. I was going to use Heartland's "I loved her first" but me and my dad never had that type of relationship and he wasnt there for a lot of the stuff that song talks about, so it didnt really fit. He wasnt there for my first breath, or reading fairy tales, or tucking me into bed at night. My mom did all of that.

I actually used Daddy's Angel and then cut to Brickhouse as a surprise to my dad because I am such a Daddy's girl that I couldn't hold my composure for the whole song and my dad and I have a fun relationship. He was so shocked when it cut away and started playing but it is a moment from my wedding day that I think about and smile and that is really important to me.

The new Mrs. Duncan see that is what i am doing halfway thru it is going to cut into george strait they call me the fireman (my dad is a fire chief he has been a firefighter since he was 16 and just turned 60 and i followed in his foot steps)
