Father-daughter Dance Alternatives?

Kara, on January 4, 2020 at 2:49 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 4
My dad and I are estranged.

My fiancé will be dancing with his mom, and I would never dream of taking that special moment away from him.
I have two older brothers but they might not be at the reception due to a cousin on my dad’s side getting married the same day.
Does anyone know what can be done instead of a father-daughter dance?

P.S. My fiancé and I will be walking down the aisle together so that’s what we’re doing for that.

I would just skip it unless there’s someone in your life who you really feel deserves that honor. There’s no need to replace it.

Hey there, Kara. I agree with the PP. Unless there is someone who springs to mind that you would like to have a special moment with, I wouldn’t have one just for the sake of it. Your FS can still have the dance with his mom. A ‘father-daughter’ spotlight dance is not a requirement Smiley smile
Are you ok with not having this spotlight dance?

I also agree with the PPs!

do you have children? you could share the dance with them Smiley smile if not and theres no one else you'd share that moment with, then skip it
