Family for Photos

It's definitely always recommended to have a contract, even with "friendors." Of course we all want to believe that we can trust our friends and family to show up for things like this, but the sad reality is that sometimes things fall through. If nothing else, you should have a contract stating some kind of backup plan if she was unable to make it for any reason.

Is your cousin a professional photographer? Does she regularly shoot weddings? If so, I would treat her like any other professional and trust that she'll get the right shots, but come prepared with a list of must have photos that you really want.

Yes if you have some certain poses in mind I would definitely send them to her for inspiration.
I never actually asked my friend for a contract aha I probably should have i guess because I felt like she was moreso a guest doing me a favor.

If you would feel more comfortable having a contract with your cousin, I would definitely speak with her about it. If she does this professionally, she may have a standard one to share with you and both of you can sign.

This may be a great opportunity also to speak about your wedding photos and your vision for them. Perhaps ask her if she would like you to make up an inspiration board, or if she would rather talk through your ideas
