False eyelashes?

I think false eyelashes always look a little odd to the wearer. We aren't used to seeing ourselves that way and it seems dramatic from our normal day-to-day look. They really do look great in pictures though. As long as they are done right, and not overly large, they also look natural.

I'm at work so I don't have pictures but I wore fake eyelashes in our engagement pictures and they looked awesome. They really make your eyes stand out. I agree that up close in a mirror they can look a little crazy since they're so different than what you usually look like every day, but they photograph so well. I definitely think they're a necessity!

I will be wearing false eyelashes, because I just love the way they make my eyes pop...especially in photos. Here are a few pics from my bridal portraits that show the eyelashes I will be wearing:

I think they are necessary for pictures and look really great.

Maybe you could try some less dense lashes. I had some really natural looking lashes for my engagement photos and then put on mascara like normal to blend them. They looked natural in pictures but obviously a little over done up close. My FH who usually hates me in make up said they looked good.

I probably will because my lashes are thin and pale. I don't see anything wrong with it. Go all out if you want.

I wore individual false lashes on my wedding day but I have also worn strips of more prominent lashes. I will post a pic of both.

A few vantage points for reference. I had a full, fluffy, fancy set of lashes. It absolutely looked silly with jeans and a tshirt (lol) but looked totally normal with the wedding garb.

If they look intense maybe they're too dense and too long? I like intense lashes for special occasions but not a wedding. I will do a simpler false lash for the wedding that is just right. I don't like when lashes completely cover the entire makeup look on the eyelid, where all you see is black. I find them pointless and ugly. They should be fulffy enough and not too dense!
