I am curious to know how your guest count has changed due to COVID. I was holding on to hope that I could keep my 150 guest count for October, with safety measures...but no! I am not comfortable with that anymore and the health and safety of my loved ones matters most. We will drastically cut our guest list and make a decision in August of what that will look like.

Honestly no reason. I just wanted mountains instead of beach background for the ceremony and we stumbled upon Sedona. I LOVED AZ when I went years ago but my fiancé has never been. But he fell in love with the venue too so I was sold at that point

Oh, I get it. I am Cambodian and my FH is Vietnamese, so we were anticipating drunken family and friends, too! Thankfully, with our new venue, they don't allow hard alcohol (LOL), so we are saved! Our wedding will be totally "boring" too and I can't wait. Smiley winking But our parents are disappointed we are not having a huge wedding with their cousin's mom's aunt's friend's co-worker who immigrated to America with them on the same boat as their uncle's dad's in-laws sister. You know?

Will you be having an outfit change or having the Khmer ceremony? I was in one before and thankfully, my fiancé nor his mom cares to do a 3 day wedding haha.

We were getting married in HI on 9.20.20, but with the Governor making a last minute decision to postpone the 1 August lift of a 14 day quarantine we couldn't hold out hope and cancelled our HI Wedding. (starting 1 August the governor was going to allow tourist to bypass the mandatory 14 quarantine provided they had a negative COVID test within 72 hrs of flying, but he moved it to 1 September and who knows if it will change again). Our dream Wedding like most brides in 2020 look a lot different than what we invisioned. With all that we cut our guest list to 10 people because, originally when we were creating a backup plan the Governor of MD had restricted gatherings to 10 people or less so we are sticking to that. We are still getting married on 9.20.20 and that is what matters!

We are from Wa and as of this last week our only option is to have a 30 or less guest count ceremony with no food or drink. We might be postponing all together (our date is sept 26th)

We started with 90-ish and have a back-up list (that I honestly think we should go with anyway) of 45, so we cut our list in about half. I'm actually more keen to have a reason to go with the smaller wedding!

We are now having to do 85 due to state mandate in OR.
    Struggling from 120.
It’s so hard to cut people out, we invited them for a reason. It will all work out as it is supposed to happen. Love wins

10.31.20 bride here. From upstate NY. With our Governors guidelines we are limited to 50 people and no dancing. So we are going to legally marry in October and have our reception next year and possibly renew our vows. Covid Couples definitely have it harder than any other couples regarding wedding planning.

I feel this with all of my soul! One of my bridesmaids even backed out because her husband said I was crazy for moving forward with a wedding in these times! Shes my best friend since college and now her and her family will not be attending. I have many other people who are being judgy about it as well.

So it’s looking highly likely that our venue will be closed (they’re closed for the High Holy Days), so we’re going to have a small ceremony with immediate family and bridal party in my parents’ backyard, with dinner afterward. We’ve decided to stream the ceremony over Zoom and will be sending out email invitations to the extended family and friends with the relevant info so they can join us virtually. We’ll have our reception next year for our anniversary.

It’s just too much to keep things up in the air, I can’t handle that anxiety right now.

On the plus side, our new theme is Halloween, so that’s exciting Smiley smile
