Fake is easier & cheaper...extensions are nice but expensive and need a lot of maintence... i wear falses everyday and if i ever cry...i look up and just let the tears fall so they dont even touch my top lashes.

Have false ones applied by your makeup artist. The adhesive wont budge, sometimes even with soap and water; if applied correctly. So tears are acceptable. If you still feel uncomforatble you can ask your MOH to watch (take notes) and carry adhesive with to wedding incase you need a "touch up". I promise you will FEEL them being loose before anyone would notice! For extra confidence have them applied before wedding as a dry run and watch My Sisters Keeper... many tears in that movie..

I am planning on wearing fake lashes for the big day, and I saw a booth at the bridal show about extensions..way to pricey and I don't have 3 hours to sit still..let alone just 3 hours to do that..

I did fakes and they were beautiful. I am so glad I did it! Of course I had a professional glue them on, but they looked so nice. They do not just fall off, and crying will not affect them.

Well, I've tried the strips & I've tried the individual ones. My fh HATES the strips but likes the individuals. He feels the strips look...fake while the individual ones look a lot more natural.

I was going to do the strips so I could pull them off after the ceremony/reception but now I'm just going to get the individual ones put in. They are a LOT more expensive but you don't have to worry about them falling out!

Individual Eyelash Extensions is what 99.9% of my brides ask for! I am not referring to expensive "semi-permanent" extensions, I am referring to the ones that will stay a couple of days, will look gorgeous and natural at the same time. Application takes 20 minutes and it is not expensive at all! Fake strip lashes look...fake Smiley sad Sorry ladies!

OK for 1 you will have your makeup just perfect either done by yourself or someone else.. and if you go with fake one or even go with out any type of false eyelashes your going to be careful with how you dry your tears anyways because of the makeup... one of the best glues out there is called DUO and I just can't see any bride that starts to cry totaly wiping there eyes you alway blot the tears so that your not making a mess of your makeup.. so fear not just don't wipe or rub BLOT!!

I strongly urge you to do individual eye lash extensions - the ones that last a few days. DO NOT DO STRIP!!! I give all of my brides the temporary extensions and they look AMAZING! Trust me, if your makeup artist knows what they are doing - you will NOT look like a caterpillar!!! LOL Best of luck Smiley smile - Larissa Lake, makeup artist -

Buy a set or two or three NOW. Start wearing them daily as "Practice" You can also practice applying them. Tip, Apply Makeup BEFORE lashes, including penciled eyeliner, a little on the thicker side. Also have your real lashes curled up to blend into the false lashes. THEN, once they are applied and the glue is dry (It goes on white and dries clear), use LIQUID liner over the false lashline where it's glued on to blend it in, and touch up any makeup, including adding Mascara to the False Lash.

I am a Mary Kay Consultant, and I have been doing the Makeup for the Key Players in RAMONA, California's Official State Outdoor Play for many years. You can see some of my work by visiting the site and looking at Ramona's makeup. She is wearing False Lashes. Also, don't worry about tears, as the players work hard on a hillside in 100 degree weather for 4 hours with no AC backstage, and don't droop from the sweat. Smiley smile http://www.ramonabowl.com

I vote Latisse! I have been using it for 10 weeks now and I'm amazed at how long my lashes have gotten. They're thicker too but I'm hoping to see more results in the next two - six weeks. Apparently they'll reach their full potential at 16 weeks. It's amazing! It's completely lived up to all the hype for me. (it is pricey though)

@Shannon - my derma dr. told me that Latisse causes dark lines around the eyelid where you apply. It also causes dark brown spots in your irises (they don't show if you have dark brown eyes, he said, but do show if you have light brown eyes). He also told me that the length only stays while you use the product, but will fall out and go back to normal as soon as you stop using it...

Have you experienced any of these side effects?

I got my eyelash extentions yesterday! and they are amazing...perfect and already worth every penny. It was painless, and they look longer fuller and totally natural. My FH loves them! I would recomended to anyone. I am already thinking i want to keep them after the wedding. Smiley smile

@MrsJoseph I have dark brown eyes so I haven't noticed any changes in the color at all. I haven't had the darkening of the skin on my eyelid either. My DR. did say I'd have to continue using it to maintain. After the 16 week mark I'm supposed to be able to drop down to only applying once every other day. I did have some redness and itchiness when I first started but I was also using 1 drop per eye. I dropped down to using 1.5 drops for both eyes and haven't had any issues since. I've gotten a lot better at the application though. I read a ton of reviews on Makeupalley before I decided to purchase and the reviews were all so positive I decided to give it a try. I plan on maintaining it for as long as I can afford to Smiley smile

Hi! Latisse I try to stay away from because of the continued rumor of changing eye color. As far as "fake" vs. "extensions"- FAKE are the ones that you can adhere yourself and really should not be left on for more that 24 HOURS because the eyelash glue can grow bacteria, although the best glue I've used is from MAC that is hypo-allergenic. I use this on all of my brides. For the more adventurous Bride, I use EXTENSIONS these are lashes that applied inside the natural lashes right above the root. These are truly placed one by one unlike fake that are in small groups of 3 or 4. These also last for months with routine fills (kind of like nails) every 2 weeks. I like these for longevity, but for a one day one time event I use fake, but never really the strip unless they are synthetic, trimmed and fit for the individual eye. If using the the strip I bend and really work the last, next I fit it to the eye trimming the sides to fit the eye along with trimming the lashes thems

No lash strips or clusters! It's your Special Day! Don't settle for something that looks fake and could possibly fall off.

I highly recommend individual lash extensions. Be careful about the adhesive used though, as not all adhesives are the same (almost all contain formaldehyde compounds that can cause cancer--NovaLash is one maker of adhesive that does NOT contain formaldehyde).

    Best Wishes!
