Fake engagement/wedding rings to bring on honeymoon

We are going to Ecuador before our wedding. I'm getting a fake and simple band for that trip... And will probably do the same once our honeymoon roles around too!

We did this! And while we were gone I got my wedding band soldered to my ring.

I did it because not only have I heard of hotel theft but I've heard of people stealing rings right of people's hands at clubs and restaurants. Didn't want to take the chance so just got a $20 ring set from Target

I'm considering it. I think I'm going to leave it in the safe at the resort though

Yes! Absolutely not going to worry about our rings while we're on the honeymoon. I have a huge rock from QVC and I should probably pick up a new ring for FH while I'm at it, since his ring was pretty pricey too. Mainly don't want to worry about wearing it then running it back to the hotel if random "let's get in the ocean!" feelings strike.

I just locked mine up. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't forget I was married while scuba diving.

I know we can leave it in the room safe, but i just think we will feel more relaxed not having to worry about them at all.. And i've heard stories of valuables being stolen from room safes too

I had no problem wearing my actual engagement ring and wedding band on our honeymoon! I also wore them on our first anniversary trip to the Bahamas and to the beach this summer, although I typically just wear my wedding band on the beach. If your rings fit correctly, and your rings are insured, there should be no issue. I would never leave them at home - I rarely take them off, and never leave the house without them!

Yeah but even if you left them at home....why wear something fake? lol

Do what you want but I don't need an outward symbol to tell people I'm married, especially on my honeymoon where we were together 24/7 for two weeks.

I bought a $50 sterling silver band to wear for traveling, fishing or to the lake/beach. I'd be so upset to lose my ring!
