Ok so On the Border has just given me a GREAT quote for a full fajita bar including everyones choice of steak, chicken, shrimp or pork it also includes all the fixings as well as chips and salsa for everyone. I just dont know if this is "wedding appropriate food" it will be a buffet style. I am Caucasian, my fiance is Nicaraguan (Spanish) and some of his family is well....uppity is all i know how to describe it as. I just wanted to know, without putting any kind of background into perspective..just tell me, if you walked into a buffet line at a reception and saw that the food was a fajita bar, what would be your first reaction? Thanks!

I will be 100% honest with you. If I walked into a wedding and saw a burrito bar my thought would be: AWESOME.

However, you say his family is "uppity." What do you mean by that? My family is Latin American and QUITE uppity. Uppity Latin Americans are a pretty judgmental bunch. For them a burrito bar would probably be the equivalent of serving BBQ at an American wedding. (obviously I don't think there is anything wrong with a BBQ wedding, but an uppity person might think so, so I am offering the Latin American perspective.)

I would love it too...I have eaten way too many plates of 75$ dry chicken breast at weddings! I knew for a fact I would not be having traditional wedding food if we were to marry in the states. I wanted Jamaican!
