Eyelashes

FH thinks false lashes are not attractive and very visibly fake. I have semi-long lashes (yup, as long as a semi lol) and am wondering if I could pull off not wearing them. I'm not sure I can convince him false lashes will look natural. What do you people think? P.S. This is not my wedding make up....

P.S. This is not my wedding make up. It's my everyday make up. And yes, I'm aware my eyebrows are horrible. They're naturally that way, and I don't know how to shape.

Your eyelashes are really long. No need for falsies - side note I wouldn't have the maids use them either if your not. Try using an eyelash curler. Those things rock!

You can easily convince him. But some natural, fake lashes from the pharmacy and have a friend that's good with makeup help you apply...or go to ulta or similar store. Show him.

I wore the individual false lashes for my bridal pictures and I loved them! I've worn the normal strip lashes before and they are definitely heavier than the individuals.

The false lashes that he's seen that are visibly fake are just that. I'm sure you can get some that are very natural looking.

I had one bride with false lashes that were so long and thick that they looked like critters that were going to blow away in the strong breeze we had that day!

There are multiple types of false lashes... Go look on Sephora. I have really long lashes as well, longer than yours because I can't even see yours in the second picture. My make up people will be using individual lashes because since mine are so long and heavy they do fall out and look thin. Sorry for the goofy pic but these are my natural lashes.

I am totally on board for the fake lashes. I have longer lashes but in pictures they are noticeable. The fake lashes give you a different look. I wear fake lashes for special occasions and my FH didn't even notice one day until I took them off! It's your make up. Do what make you feel beautiful on your big day!

You are fine! But if you have your person do the separate lashes not strips it may look more natural

My makeup person strategically placed the lashes. He's one eye.

Tell him of he doesn't like them... Then he doesn't have to wear them.

There are tons of falsies. You can find other sets that are not super dramatic and just give you a little lift. Check them trout at sephora or a local drug store. . House of lashes sells great wishpies that I recommend.

Thank you for all the advice. Looking at the pictures I think the full lashes are too long for me and look...weird. I do like the look of the individual lashes though. I may go with those. I don't think I need length, I just need fuller lashes.

Deanna - do you know what brand your mua used? They look incredible. That's exactly what I want.

What about if you are doing your own makeup for your wedding? Recommendations for fake lashes? Should I get them and do it myself or is there a really great mascara to try? Kind of freaking out about that, but I am also pretty good at makeup and have experience with false lashes as I was a competitive dancer for 9 years...thoughts?? I would rather not fuss with the fake ones, but will try if it truly makes a difference.
