I was blessed with giant eyebrows (actual a beautiful unibrow) at birth. I typically do a lazy tweeze job every couple of weeks. I thought about getting them waxed before the wedding, but then threading was recommended. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I am not worried about that. I do have a few questions though.

Have you had your eyebrows threaded?

Do you prefer it over waxing?

How far before the wedding would you recommend doing this?

Is this something I should do a trial run on first?

I do threading all the time. It is not painful. Do it the week before.

I get mine threaded every 3-4 weeks. I found a girl at the mall who remembers me and knows how to shape them really well and not too thin. I don't have redness after and it's a much more precise shape than waxing only because I have super fine hairs and wax doesn't always pick them up. I don't wear makeup or moisturizer when I get them done so don't break out afterwards. Also avoid wearing makeup for remainder of the day. It hurts more than waxing but the results are worth it to me. And I will go probably two days before my wedding Smiley smile

I definitely prefer waxing over threading, to me it's far less painful. And in my experience it's cheaper too.

I used to get my brows threaded, but started noticing that they were getting thinner each time I'd go. I'd always ask the lady to clean them up & leave them thick, but I guess she just did what she thought looked best on me. A year ago, I researched wax studios & found the best one in my area. I've been letting them grow & I'm sooo happy with them. Also, the wax that they use is so nice & doesn't hurt. I'd def recommend to wax rather than thread.

I love threading!! Would definitely recommend, but do a trial a few months ahead of time. That'll give you enough time to find someone you like, and you can get them done a few days before your wedding.

"Yes" to all your questions. Do it 5-9 days before the wedding so any irritation can calm down.

I get my eyebrows threaded about once a month. I would probably get them threaded a few days before the wedding just Incase there is redness. I 1000% recommend it over waxing. It is slightly more painful but it is also more precise. I would suggest meeting with your brow threader a few months before the wedding and continually go to her/him until your wedding day to make sure you have the desired shape and are both on the same page. Sorry for the weird picture but I wanted to show you what mine look like after being freshly threaded and this is the only picture I had lol! Hope this helped!

I like threading much better than waxing. Waxing always irritates my skin. Threading never does. I would probably do it about a month in advance to try it then do again a few days before the wedding

I love getting my eyebrows threaded. Definitely last longer than wax. Plus hygiene wise I think thread is better. If you have really thick eyebrows I'd suggest getting a wax first so it's not so thick and then do a threading trial run. I normal go every two weeks but I will bet getting my eyebrows done maybe a week before my wedding. To make sure I have no crazy breakouts.

I love threading! That's the only way I get mine done. I used to get mine waxed but they never got the shape right.

I would say go a time or two before the wedding to make sure the person you go to gets you. Also go to the same place/person if you like them! I have dark brows myself and my hair grows back quick, but going a week before would be best. 2 weeks your hair will already be growing back

I am so excited--going to try threading tomorrow for the first time after decades of waxing!

Hoping I find a good place--wish me luck and thanks for all the info Smiley smile

I can't have my face waxed because of medication put on it. I have had my eyebrows threaded since I was 16. I have thick eyebrows that are curly. Never had an issue with threading. Tends to be cheaper than waxing too. I can get my eyebrows threaded for 8 bucks where I live.

I have done both. Neither hurt to me personally. I think what matters most is how good the person doing it is. I used to thread but now i wax because I found an amazing woman that I like better.
