I'm such an over-planner, over thinker and so I just need to know if I'm over planning this one. Are any of you brides including extra tables for people who might just show up even after RSVPing No? I'm such an over-planner, over thinker and so I just need to know if I'm over planning this one. Are any of you brides including extra tables for people who might just show up even after RSVPing No? I have some great aunts and great uncles that didn't respond at all and when my Mom talked to them they said " oh we're still not sure yet" and didn't see the urgency or importance in giving us a definitive answer. There's others that I feel like would change their mind about coming and just show up. Let me know if you had this experience or if you are planning to have extra tables just in case.

I am not going to have an extra table for the rude people who show up without an RSVP. I do have extra chairs at some of my smaller tables and a few escort cards that say "I didn't RSVP but I showed up anyway" Thank you wedding wire forums for the idea. lol.

Nope. No answer is an answer and I've made that clear on the website. We will, of course, reach out. Once. After that, no definitive answer is a decline. We won't be accommodating anyone who just appears or brings randos.

I would not save extra tables. There is a RSVP deadline for a reason and guests know that. If they didn't respond, they should understand that you're expecting them to not come. If they do show up, put somebody in charge of letting them know that there is no table or meal for them at the reception. Planning for "maybe" guests will make things so much more stressful for you!
