Now I know alot of brides will be bias and say invitations but the price of a good invitation that I'd like to buy that I actually like, then mail out to each person and hope it doesn't get lost hope they rsvp is just so costly I would rather spend it elsewhere yes there are cheap invitations but you still have to send them and if they get lost you have to resend it. Then most people will throw it out and don't get me started on the trees wasted, what are you guys thoughts? I mean the price of the invitation I want is the price of the caricature artist for my cocktail hour and I will still have money to buy Jackie Ania makeup palette and go to Qdoba for dinner I'm just saying! Help I talked to my moh and she thinks it's a great idea, I plan on buying one to get it photographed at our wedding but I just don't know. What are you guys doing.

Oh plus, we spent the invites money on a photobooth and gelato bar instead. Guests will hold on to the photo booth pics more than invites, hopefully

Ann's Bridal Bargains has invites that are $0.99 or less and they often have 20-50% off sales. Definitely check them out! We did online only RSVP on the Knot and didn't have too many issues.

Invites rarely get lost. We sent out over 100 save the dates, 100 invites, and over 100 thank you cards. None got lost. Do all of your friends have Facebook or an email/are tech savvy? If I got a wedding evite, I probably would (not on purpose) forget about it or not take it super seriously and assume the wedding was VERY casual.

We went paperless. I did a really pretty e-vite with the information directing them to RSVP on my wedding website. We only have like 30 people coming, though. I did specify on our website that I wanted people to dress in their Sunday best without jeans and modestly. Then I had my mom tell my grandma. Most everyone we invited are online except for her.

My fiancee is lookin to do a Facebook event for instead of physical save the dates and then Evites for for our friends and physical invitations for older guests. I'm a more traditional bride so I'd prefer physical wedding invites.

Kind of in between. Think Sunday dinner after church formality. That’s the vibe I’m going for.

I’ve been going back and forth on this like crazy and this post just helped me to realize I’m not going back and forth on it anymore. I’m such a super chill crazed out laid back unicorn and my future hubs is very conservative. However, we are a fun and whimsical type of themed wedding with a come as you are dress. We are going with a video attached to an evite (my first choice) because I’m a super personal person and like to connect with my folks through voice text or video. Was thinking of paper Save the Dates and May still go with that option. We will do paper invites for the older people which aren’t many but I like the fact of the Facebook group on here I never thought of that so I’m adding that now. I personally think it’s how you feel about it personally overall. The fact that stamps are 50 cents are why I was against the paper invites. We are using the knot for online RSVP. Honestly my sister got married last year and most people never returned the rsvp and were texting and calling my mom to rsvp and emailing her. Most people said they couldn’t find theirs so she felt it was a waste. Again if I’m honest I was one of those who threw it away. Once I read it put it on a calendar that’s it it clutters up my space so it has to go even invites. I did send her rsvp back though. We will do paper thank you cards and that’s solid but that’s about it. Again it’s all about how you ultimately feel about it. We would rather spend the extra towards the open bar for our guests.
