While looking at the "show off your ring" post, I think a lot of us realized that this whole peekaboo diamond thing is pretty popular.. I thought I had something special! Haha Anyway, so I thought I'd ask.. Have any of you found bands? I have tried on a few and can't find anything that fits...

While looking at the "show off your ring" post, I think a lot of us realized that this whole peekaboo diamond thing is pretty popular.. I thought I had something special! Haha Smiley smile Anyway, so I thought I'd ask.. Have any of you found bands? I have tried on a few and can't find anything that fits together with my ring, because the diamond creates a gap between them. I want something that will fit together perfectly, but can't.

I realize I need something with a dip in it, which I've tried on, but they're all diamond bands and not cheap. I'd be happy with just a plain white gold band, because I don't plan on wearing my wedding band very often. I'm not really a ring kind of person and having 2 rings will drive me crazy, so I'll probably just wear my eng. ring. But I still want a band (I will wear it sometimes) but can't find 1! So have any of you found bands that work?

I'm attaching a picture of my ring with the diamond, and the kind of band I tried on.. But its a diamond one.

Mine is a Scott Kay and he's kinda known for his peek-a-boo diamond designs. It was tricky finding a band that sat low enough not to cover it up but I did it, it just took time and patience.

I don't really have a peek a boo quite like everyone else, but a huge part of why we picked this ring is because of the detail on the side. Every band I've found so far covers the detail. We haven't decided what band to get yet but I have an idea of what I'm looking for. I think it's just going to be hard to find one with the same type of detail and a narrow band like the e-ring.

The last pic is a band I love...but it's just way too thick..I'm hoping to find something that's similar though Smiley smile

Well I guess you can't really see the side in that pic... but anyway, it's close to what my e-ring is.

I didnt have alot of detail on the sides, but i still wanted to show them off... i added my bands with a gap, i liked it alot better then with no gap.

Katie, mine's the same way. I got a band that looks really similar to the one you posted. Smiley smile

Katie - I love the peekaboo diamonds! Have you thought about going to a jeweler who does custom work? They may be able to suggest something that works really well with your ring.

My ring has 5 small diamonds on each side. Fortunately, they don't stick out at all, so I was able to get a straight wedding band (it's an eternity ring that matches the diamonds on my e-ring band). The only thing my jeweler recommended was to get a band with smooth sides - otherwise, I might run the risk of pulling one of the side diamonds out.

Kristen- I was thinking about that (and its what I might have to do) but I'm sure it'll be pretty expensive :/ I'm hoping that since I don't want any diamonds or anything it wont be TOO expensive. Thanks girls Smiley smile

Mine does that a lot Casey-- sometimes I have to close out of my browser in order for it to work again. Such a pain!

It really shouldn't cost that much to have a custom band made and it's really probably your best option. Either way it never hurts to ask!

@Katie - look for a place that does primarily custom jewelry. FH designed my e-ring himself, and a jeweler who pretty much only does custom work made it (he's making my band as well, and we ordered FH's band through him). His prices are actually quite a bit better than anything we saw at regular jewelry stores, since he has FAR less overhead. The vast majority of the jewelry in his cases has been made for people, and he'll display it until you pick it up!

Oh wow, Amber! I love it and it fits really nicely Smiley smile You'll have to send me the style number and all. I said I don't want anything "too blingy" but after I look around for a silver band, I might just have to go with something like that if I don't see anything, because it looks really good Smiley smile

Soo.I think that me and you have the same ring! =] Love it by the way!!! =] Let me see if I can find a picture or take a picture of my wedding band real quick and show you what it looks like. It does have diamonds on it though and I know you said you didnt want that. But about the whole 2 ring thing, just get them sottered together to make one ring so it wont be such a hassle. Just an idea! Smiley winking

Okay so I can't find a picture of it on kays website, they have a picture of the round diamond one, but not the princess cut one. My wedding band looks similar to Amber's except theres 2, onr that goes on either side and they are connected at the bottom. My E-ring sits in the middle of them. I tryed to take a picture of it but my camera is old and sucks! Sorry! I wish Kays had a stinkin picture of it!!! Smiley sad
