Hey guys,

So my venue is requiring me to take out special event insurance for the day that we have it rented.

Any suggestions on companies to use for insurance?

My auto insurer does not offer event insurance.

Progressive, Travelers and Allstate all offer it. I'm sure there are many other companies that also offer the coverage. Call an independent insurance broker and ask.

We got ours through our renters insurance and I used USAA

I got a policy through Wedsafe. They offer a discount if you get your liability and cancellation insurance at the same time.
ETA: You can get a quote online and the whole process took less that 10 minutes or so. Very simple.
ETA again: they were the ones recommended by my venue.

For our wedding, we used WedSafe company since our venue also required that.

We're doing it through our home owners insurance but our venue had also recommended Wedsafe if we didn't want to go through our own insurance.

Omg it was so easy. I just called and they gave me a quote that was maybe $100 and I was like "Yup gimme it!" the whole thing took maybe half an hour on the phone. Their customer service is awesome.
