Hello ladies,

For those of you that are having an evening wedding, what are your timeframes for the ceremony & reception?

Are you doing first blush or waiting until after the ceremony to take photos? We will more than likely have an evening wedding, but I'm trying to decide if I want to do first blush. I've always envisioned my FH seeing me for the first time as I walk down the aisle. The only issue is, there will be no sunlight after the ceremony for our photos. We may have to do them all indoors. (Granted the venue is very nice). Just wanted to see if there were other ideas or if anyone else is planning an evening wedding. Thx!

Our ceremony starts at 5:30. We are doing a first look at 2:30, then all the other photos from 3-4:30. This way after the ceremony we can be alone during cocktail hour (6-7pm) and take some golden hour photos just the two of us. Reception will start at 7. Smiley smile

It's hard to decide. My traditional FH doesn't want a first look and I think it will be good to have so that I won't be so nervous and I could get the crying out of my system before walking down the aisle... but as it stands now No first look.

As for the sun and night photos, my ceremony is at 6:30PM and I won't have any pictures with sunlight but then again I will have the engagements pictures in them. You have to decide if the sunlight is a must have or something you can live without. All about priorities and compromise.

Think we have decided to forgo first look and do separate bridal groom pictures before ceremony. After the ceremony we will do a combined photo session. Really want him to see me for the first time coming down the aisle, that's special to me Smiley smile

We are doing a first look..I don't know that mine or FHs anxiety can take seeing each other for the first time as we walk down the aisle. I would be a wreck lol.

Our ceremony is starting at 6pm and we are doing a first look and all family pictures and bridal party pictures before the ceremony. We aren't having a cocktail hour, just going straight into dinner after the ceremony. We are planning on our reception ending at 9:30, maybe earlier because we have a flight to catch for our honeymoon that night!

We're not doing a first look, but we'll be doing separate photos, me with my family and MOH, FH with his family and BM, before the ceremony and more formal photos during cocktail hour.
