"Evaluating" Vendors

Yes, I have the same gripe. I wish there was an option to say "hired a non-listed vendor" or something like that. Particularly for officiant since so many people have friends or family act as the officiant.

Meant to add, I also use a second method of planning (planning book in my case, although I have heard Google sheets is good) since that and other issues bother me on WW.

Honestly, I much preferred the checklists and planner tools on The Knot more than WeddingWire. I don't remember evaluation being an issue, and I had several vendors that weren't listed on The Knot.

Could you delete the items that WW wants you to have evaluations for? (Obviously you want to keep track of all of this somewhere, but maybe that would make the list look more manageable?)

Are you saying that you added a non-listed vendor and they have to be evaluated by WW? Or are you talking about the “evaluating” that pops up on a vendor you’ve saved? If the latter, you just go and “unlike” the vendors you’re not utilizing. If the former...I tried to add a vendor once and it wouldn’t let me. So I just gave up. But there are some vendors (like DJ & Wedding planner) that I won’t be hiring & those show up on my vendor checklist as just empty spots. There is no “evaluating” notation because I haven’t favorited any. But they still show up and that’s annoying.

I think you're the one who is meant to be evaluating them and then you have to check off hired in the edit section. You have to click on the pencil to edit. And then check off hired.
