Etsy shop dispute

Has anybody ever had to open a case on Etsy? I ordered a wire hanger for dress pictures over a month ago and have not heard anything from the seller. When I go to click on the shop, it doesn't exist anymore, but I am still able to see the product I ordered with reviews from a handful of people...

Has anybody ever had to open a case on Etsy? I ordered a wire hanger for dress pictures over a month ago and have not heard anything from the seller. When I go to click on the shop, it doesn't exist anymore, but I am still able to see the product I ordered with reviews from a handful of people experiencing the same thing. According to the sellers site, it should have reached me by now. With 9 days to go, I think i'm going to have to chalk this up as a loss I have tried contacting the seller twice asking if the item will ship in time and heard nothing.

I opened a case with Etsy. I'm just curious if any of you have ever had to do something similar and if so, what the outcome was? Is it easy to get your money back? I have never had an issue with Etsy until now!

    I did a few years ago, I ordered a birthday gift almost two months in advance and shipping was supposed to be 2-3 weeks. The week before my friend's birthday, I still had not heard from the seller (despite a few messages from me) and there was no tracking information so I opened up a case. It showed up in my mail three days later, so nothing really happened with Etsy. It was still super annoying.

    Oh my. I order stuff off etsy all the time and I've never had any issues. Were you able to get another hanger for it? If not, amazon prime has some and it should get there for you to be able to use it. Hopefully you get your refund. That sucks. Sorry

    I ordered a reception sign for our wedding on June 1st and according to the shop owner and USPS it arrived on Monday. I never got the sign. USPS is looking into it but I requested a reversal on the payment from my bank. No way I am paying almost $50 for a sign I never received. It was annoying because the tracking number that was emailed to me was different than the number the shop owner gave me when I asked for information on where my item was. Luckily I don't need a sign till September.

    I ordered something for my son's 1st birthday. The seller stated it would take x amount of time. Well that time passed and I emailed her and she never responded. I opened a case and Etsy reached the store owner and sent me and email saying I would be refunded. The same day I received an email from the shop owner and she also verified she would send me a refund. It was pretty simple and Etsy took care of all the work.

    Yes! I am in the middle of one right now. Etsy has shut down the store and told me that if the seller does not refund me by the end of this week that they will and they will be handling the seller directly. They have been great.
