Etsy safe place to get a dress? wowowobridal?

I’ve bought off Etsy before with no problem.
Research the shop and see where they are located.
It NOT in the USA I would not , simply because of this Pandemic.If In the USA check their credibility and license online or even call.

I’ve bought a lot from Etsy before and never really had a problem and this is speaking for in and out of the country origins. The reviews for this shop seem legit so I wouldn’t count it out completely but it does seem like a newer shop. Message the shop owner and see how communication goes, follow your gut. If you’re feeling sketchy about it, then for your peace of mind just choose someone else.

I buy from Etsy almost weekly! I LOVE IT! I have ordered many things including a mother daughter dress for Easter and the dresses made for me and daughter were perfect! Couldn’t not ask for better. I always message the shop before buying just to see if there is any type of delay or anything. The shops always answer in a timely manor as well as my items always arrive on time if not early! Don’t be scared but if you are just reach out to the shop I sure they will assure you everything will be just fine😊 Good luck

I initially thought the same thing when I first started looking for my dress. I found a lot of these shops operate out of China, which if you do a quick google search there are a lot of news articles advising against or at least signs to look for. I went to a local shop just to be sure I could find a quality dress that I loved but still within my budget and I couldn’t feel happier that I did!

Meanwhile I’ve ordered quite a bit from Etsy including my engagement ring from an artisan in Norway. I have had positive experiences shopping on Etsy too!
In the end I did some research and followed my gut. Best of luck to you!

Etsy in general is very reliable. Make sure before you start looking to set the search feature to US shops only to weed out the Chinese knockoffs. Read the reviews for the shops.

I did not go with them but they were prompt and courteous about my questions and the reviews have grown and include some images now.

I would be leery of this shop. It seems that not only is it not actually made in the US but that if you happen to be unhappy with your dress - in order to get a refund- you have to leave a 5 star review. (There are multiple posts that state so for this shop and I've seen it in other shops as well.) If it seems too good to be true- proceed with caution - or have a very good seamstress on standby.
