Etsy Invitations

SoontobeJB, on July 30, 2015 at 11:08 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13

Sorry i'm posting so many questions about invites, I purchased a package from Michael's and now that i'm working on the invites I just realized I won't have enough invites so now i'm panicking. I need to get invites out within the next week.

I found an Etsy shop that creates the pdf files. So I can get the invitation and rsvp made for $18. What's the best way to have them printed? I only need 40 invites and I know 90% will be thrown out so I don't want to spend a crazy amount of $ on having them printed but I don't want them to look like glossy photos either. I'm trying to get them printed for under $30 if it's possible. Thank you.

Staples and OfficeMax do a pretty good job with their color prints.

The big VistaPrint sale just ended, but you can get 40 5x7 invites printed there for $33. The response cards look like they'll be another $26. And that's with the regular matte cardstock. Many ladies here have said it's worth it to pay for upgraded paper.

I've also heard that you can sometimes find really good Groupon deals for Vistaprint, so that might be worth looking at as well.

    I second Staples or OfficeMax.

Do you have any universities near you? I know we have one here where anyone can use their printing services and they don't charge an arm and a leg.

Okay I will look into staples and officemax

Of course I just missed a VistaPrint sale ugh

No universities around here and the local colleges would only allow students, i'm out of school for the summer.

I got my STD's created on Etsy. She sent a PDF and I got it printed through Vistaprint and I am very happy with the way they turned out.

ETA: We ordered 150 (since 120 isn't an option) on upgraded paper and with the sale I got them for $61 before shipping. Definitely affordable and super easy!

@SoontobeJB -- can't help with your actual question, but I just wanted to say that my wedding is the week before yours and I'm now FRANTICALLY trying to get my invites all addressed and mailed out by tomorrow. Totally kicking myself for not starting sooner. So...I'm with ya, sister Smiley smile

    Good luck!

@Maggie those look awesome, yeah my concern is to print the invites and rsvp's will probably cost a lot more, kicking myself for not realizing this sooner.

@futuremrst I seriously thought i had this checked off my list, invites have been sitting in my house for over a month smh what a dummy lol i'm gonna check Michael's tonight, it looks like they have some sets that have 40 invites, but now i'm worried I may screw them up. If that doesn't work i'm contacting the Etsy shop tonight ugh.

@SoontobeJB check RetailMeNot and Coupon Sherpa too. Sometimes they have coupon codes that work too. (Or I have a 20% off coupon you can have! I won't need it for a while) Like @Bookcase said, you will probably be looking at $33 for the invites and $26 for the response cards. With 20% that would bring you down to around $47. The coupon is yours if you want it! Be careful with Staples or Office Depot. I took something there to get colored copies made for my class at the end of the school year and I paid .75 a copy for regular plain paper. If you have a FedEx office I have gotten some decent deals there too.

ETA: Coupon Sherpa has a 50% off one regular priced item at Michael's. I just used it this morning!

@VM THANKS! They are my favorite colors and FH is in the yachting industry so our whole life is pretty much nautical theme.. but I can't complain Smiley smile
