In my opinion, I feel like it's definitely an extra but it's a good extra. If you have the extra money for it, then why not? But honestly, I'm not sure if I'm going to bother with a photo booth. My partner doesn't really think it's necessary and he's right, it's not. But it would be a pretty fun extra. I don't know, I'm still thinking about it.

I really want one myself! I am hoping we can find a good deal since we didn’t fit this into the budget we are sticking with!

I am doing a DIY backdrop and I was thinking of using my camera but then I thought what if our guest want the pictures right there an then like a Polaroid camera? Do you think it will matter ? I will save so much money if I just get a tripod and a remote for the camera then buying a Polaroid and rolls for photos.

Hi Andrea Smiley smile Very good point! Your almost a year out from your big day & you have some time to consider. How is the rest of your wedding planning coming along so far? Have you booked/looked at any venues yet?

Honestly, my thought is that everyone has a camera phone. If they want a picture for right now, they can just take one. LOL! Since this post my plans have evolved into people using their camera phones and then texting the pictures to us using Tacboard. We're going to have a live display of the pics that are sent to a huge tv next to the DJ. This way everyone gets a pic. Everyone can share pics and everyone will get a link to the gallery.

Polaroid film is expensive and depending on how many people you are expecting that could get pretty costly.

As much as I want one and think it would be fun, this is extra for me.

I've booked one already and now having read some of the comments I'm wondering if it was such a good idea. I know the youngsters will probably will have fun with it but I have more guests over the age of 50. Plus it's a lunch reception and people won't drink as much. If it is a weekend dinner reception and you have a whole lot of young people and people and the wine is flowing freely, then the guests will probably really get into the fun of it.

It's definitely an extra, but my best friend had one at her wedding and we had a BLAST! In fact, some of my favorite pictures of myself and FH are from her wedding photobooth. So of course, I decided to get one for ours! I've told some of my close friends we're getting one and they are pumped! I have a very close-knit group of friends and we don't get to see each other that often anymore, so I think it'll be a fab. memento of the more fun, casual side of the wedding that everyone can take home and treasure Smiley smile

Extra, although I want one. More elegant though with a flower wall and gold accents. In my opinion it will personalize our day and photos of guest.

This is definitely some fun that I would like to include at the wedding reception for all of our guests to enjoy.
