escort cards

Pinotgirl, on May 19, 2015 at 11:24 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 23

What is everyone doing for their escort cards/table assignments? I had originally wanted to do the attached but am thinking this may be too much money, fully assembled would be about $230 and then about another $80 for candy. Now I am thinking about doing soemthing that would be one card per couple to cut costs. What are you guys doing and where are you ordering from?

What Maltese said, but I did it through a friend who's a graphic designer instead. But still, printed at Staples.

Our escort cards are tags that are attached to the honey jar favors and it is one per couple/family. They are being printed this week at Staples and we are cutting them out and attaching them this weekend.

I just got a picture frame, typed up the seating arrangements in 4x6 boxes, made them look pretty, and then printed them out at CVS and put them in the frame. People can pick their own seats, I only gave them tables.

We're going for a mirrored seating chart! My Mom and are gonna look for a mirror this summer (she's an antiquing nut). Something like this but with a gold/bronze frame instead of silver.

Why would this be $230 just for the circles on a stick? Are you paying someone to do them? I feel like this could be done really cheap, just stickers and toothpicks. Do you have a large amount of guests?

Are you having a photobooth? We bought frames for like $60, bought a pdf from Etsy for $8, and printed them all at home. It was fabulous!

I'm doing a little box that fits about five Hershey kisses. Each kiss will have a personalized label on the bottom that you can see through the clear back of the triangle box. This too will be per couple. I bought the boxes from Oriental trading, I think 50 for 3.99.

Folded business cards from Amazon, ran them thru the printer with a cute design to jazz them up.

You can find card stock at Staples, The Paper store, or other type stores. They come with an online template where you can easily set them up and print yourself. Put them on your gift table along with your guestbook. Not worth spending alot of money on these. Our Country club put our favors at each place setting.

So this is what I ended up doing. I did 1 per couple/family. They served as escort cards/favors! It was an absolute hit! And less than $75 for 115 people. I even had extra frames that I put at the photobooth table.

Our ceremony is at a vineyard, so we are going to do something simple like this. I bought a whole bunch of wine corks off of ebay for like 10 bucks.

What you can do, I think you can order bulk from ghiradelis, put one one of the little squares on each plate (one chocolate per family wouldn't cut it, there could be a brawl). The business cards would be less then $20 off amazon and you just print them at home. You could even do a stamped design (I did a gold rose instead of the florish for my fraternity members). If budget is a concern, this is one part where you can save some money.

Hey Date twin! I'm torn on this as well. I wanted to DIY a mirror similar to Christine's pic (so gorgeous!), but with 230-250 guests it may not be wise. I think I'm going to end up doing either Tiffany or Denise's idea. I'm giving myself a deadline to decide, LBVS, by Monday. What are your table numbers-were you planning on having them match escort cards?

I'm opting for gold baroque frames since I need to indicate meal choice on each for the venue. Hopefully will be gorgeous with 150 of them set out.

I bought escort cards with silver trim (matches our colors/formality level perfectly) from Walmart (or maybe Michaels...can't remember now lol) and will be printing them at home. Also, doing just 1 card per couple, which I've seen done at a lot of weddings we've been to recently.

You could easily do that in Word and have it printed on thick paper. Then cut them out and glue a skewer.tooth pick to it.

I'm doing a seating chart similar to @Christine. I made it from an IKEA frame, fabric that fits my theme, Mexican paper flowers glued on the corner. It is hard to see but I have string going across with mini clothes pins, when I have my final guest lists I am going to print out onto cards the table number with the list of names for the table. The idea is that people will reference it and then go to their table rather than taking an escort card. I am planning on gluing the cards with the names to the clothespins so that people don't take the whole card by mistake.
