Escort cards idea

Okay - so our wedding doesn’t really have theme. It’s all outside and has a natural rustic feel to it.

We want to do escort cards, but we are not sure what to write the guests names on. Originally we were going to have our wine glasses and have a paper that states the name and table. But I don’t like the idea of everyone trying to grab their glass. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.
I saw a reaaally cute idea on here about getting postcards where we have traveled to(we love to travel!) and writing name and table and possibly a thank you message. I really wanted to do this but postcards are expensive and I can’t find them cheaper than a dollar. I don’t know if I want to spend $90 on postcards. this is one postcard per couple/family. I’d be spending 180 individually. I know I can wait until closer to time to buy this as 180 people might not come but at the same time, even if 60 couples go, it’s still a lot for me personally.

Does anyone know where to get cheaper postcards? Or does anyone else have any ideas or would like to share what they did/are doing?

I think we'll skip individual escort cards and instead do it all on a mirror like in this photo (no wax though). We're also outside and I like that the mirror will reflect natural light and the greenery. It'll be cheaper, easy setup, and then no guests reaching and grabbing. But if you really want escort cards I don't have a suggestion unfortunately. 😕

What if you did travel themed escort cards and named the tables after destinations?Escort cards idea 2

That’s a cute idea! Thanks for sharing. I like the boarding pass idea. It seems cheaper than buying postcards!

Could you do pictures of places you've been instead of postcards? That would get the travel part that you want but be a little cheaper!

We're not doing individual escort cards. I purchased this template off of Esty and we will have this displayed outside of the reception hall. Our DOC will put it up during our ceremony so it's ready right after. Now, this is my rough draft. I'm still going to tweak it a little bit, I still have to put our actual guest name's in it once we get our final count, and add a New York Ranger logo to it; our tables are named and numbered after New York Ranger players (my FH's favorite hockey team).

I bought postcards from eBay. It’s been awhile since I got them but im pretty sure it was 100 cards for around $20 or so. These are vintage unused postcards. I’m using them as my “guestbook “.
