We were traditional. I used Jonathan Cains Bridal March. I am not a crier, but walking down the aisle to the "here comes the bride" made me sob uncontrollably. That was the only time I lost it.

For the BP, they walked out to Collage by Silvard. It is a piano piece that mixes a traditional Bach song with Rainbow Connection from the Muppets. H loves the Muppets so we used a lot of Muppet inspired music.

Edited: I have been married for 3 months and I just referred to him as FH!

I think I'm going with an instrumental version of A Thousand Years. So many good versions not sure which one to choose though. I love VSQ and just discovered The Piano Guys both did a great job with this song!!

Side note- I just had the VSQ version playing on YouTube and my FH said it sounds like funeral music... Lol. He doesn't know what good taste is!

The piano guys version of " a thousand years" is popular as you can see. That's the song I walked down the aisle to.

Looks like "A Thousand Years" is the song of the moment! However... I have often learned a popular tune for a bride and never used it again because it is considered passe in a few months. This is part of the reason for using traditional classical music. It is very beautiful and has stood the test of time. If you have never listened to much classical music, you can check out a few examples on my web-site at http://www.hudsonvalleyharpist.com/songsamples.htm

It can be so much more than the Pachelbel Canon. It's definitely worth considering.

I had never head of Vitamin String Quartet, and I'm listening to them right now, and OMG, i'm downloading like crazy. Lol. I'll be using their music before the ceremony. I've heard of Piano Guys, my girls are going in with the 1000 years song.
